Prof. Kalpathy Eswaran has nearly 50 years of experience as a teacher and researcher in the fields of physics and biology. He is an Emeritus Professor at IISc and the Dept. of Biotechnology, Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He was previously Professor and Chairman of the Molecular Biophysics Department at IISc. He has travelled widely for academic programmes around the world and was a visiting professor at a number of universities and institutions in the United States and overseas, including the Harvard Medical School in Boston. He has earned several honours and prizes, including the S.S.Bhatnagar Prize for Biological Sciences. He belongs to many societies and social service organisations, including Rotary Rajamahal Vilas.

Mr.Gundu Rao, graduate in B.Sc. from Yuvaraja’s college in Mysore joined the state bank of Mysore as a typist clerk in 1964 and later served as a branch manager, administrative officer and chief manager of Cauvery Grameena bank. He was also associate chairman of bank officers association. He is an excellent orator, planner, banker and fighter for social causes.
